According to , Negredo has emerged as a top target because of his experience in the Premier League.

The 32-year-old made 68 appearances during his spells with Manchester City and Middlesbrough.

He won the English top-flight title with the Blues in the 2013/14 season before he completed a switch to Valencia.

Negredo, who has 21 caps for Spain, scored eight times in 36 matches for the Turkish side last season.

It is understood that Besiktas are looking to offload the 32-year-old this summer because he is one of the club's highest earners.

Warnock has three frontline strikers in his squad, but the 69-year-old believes that a club needs four to be successful in the top-flight.

When asked if a new striker was on the cards after Saturday's defeat to Real Betis, he said: "Yes I think so.

"We had two smaller lads and I thought we played quite well doing that.
