What is Amir Khan’s net worth, who is his wife Faryal Makhdoom and how many children do they have?
IT'S been eleven years since Amir Khan last held a world title strap.
Any comeback trail for the retired boxer's career has been shut off, after he tested positive for the banned substance Ostarine following his defeat to Kell Brook in February 2022.
Khan is a storied figure, with a series of troubles in his relationship, including sleeping with a beautician just 17 days after the birth of his second child.
He exploded on to the world boxing scene after winning an Olympic silver medal in 2004 at the age of just 17.
But Khan's world has been turned upside down as it has now been revealed that he has split with wife Faryal Makhdoom.
What is Amir Khan's net worth?
Back in 2017, Khan ditched the gloves for a stint in the jungle for ITV's I'm A Celeb, where he was rumoured to the highest-paid contestant in the 17-year history of the show.
Since his first professional fight in 2005, Khan has been busy growing his fortune.
As well as bringing in cash through his fights, he's also founded the Super Boxing League and worked as a mixed martial arts promoter.
And mega purses are back on the menu for the man who held the WBA title from 2009 to 2012 and the IBF crown in 2011.
Khan has put his time in the jungle behind him and got back to the gym, beating Phil Lo Greco and Samuel Vargas to set up a huge world title fight with unbeaten Crawford at Madison Square Garden.
According to , as of this year Khan is worth £31million.
His purse for his 2016 bout with Saul Alvarez was reportedly £9m and he pocketed around £3m for turning down Kell Brook and fighting Crawford in New York.
Khan earned £5m from his defeat to Brook, for which he was latter found to have tested positive for banned substance Ostarine.
Who is his wife Faryal Makhdoom?
Khan married his wife Faryal Makhdoom back in 2013, having been introduced to her by a mutual friend.
Born in Brooklyn, Faryal graduated from Rutgers University with a double major in political science and journalism.
She now works primarily as a model, whilst also owning her own make-up brand.
However, the pair are now separated and are currently living apart after the former world champion boxer was caught sexting another woman.
And it is understood that Faryal is still deciding whether she wants to end their 10-year marriage.
The ex-couple were also involved in a very public spat in 2017, when Amir took to Twitter and announced their break-up, claiming his wife had cheated on him with heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua.
But Faryal cleared up the situation several days later, claiming that screenshots of her and Joshua's 'conversation' had been faked.
She wrote on her Twitter feed: "I've been quiet for some time... because I myself didn't know what's going on.
"Everything that's going on is just not right and a complete misunderstanding.
"The screenshots sent to Amir were 'fake' and Amir thought Joshua and I were speaking... when we have never even met.
"Anger took the better of him and he tweeted away without thinking there was absolutely NO truth to it.
"It's all cleared up with both teams now and again, there was NOTHING like that going on.
"Apologies for all this nonsense. Let's get on with life now..."
The pair reconciled and after Khan's success on I'm A Celeb, were looking at producing a fly-on-the-wall reality series which would offer an insight into their family life.
