JAMIE CARRAGHER labelled Chelsea's Eden Hazard "the best in the Prem" after his stunning late winner against Liverpool - and at this time few could disagree with that.
The Belgian's match-winning intervention on Wednesday night sent the Blues through to the Carabao Cup fourth round.
His 85th minute winner - his seventh goal in just six games - also consigned Jurgen Klopp's men to their first defeat of the season.
Hazard has been in sensational form for club and country over the last few months, with his recent contribution only reinforcing the fact he's one of the world's very best.
It looked as if Liverpool had done enough to get the better of the Blues with Daniel Sturridge's second half strike giving Klopp's men a narrow lead.
However, Emerson brought Maurizio Sarri's men back on level terms before Hazard took matters into his own hands.
With the game poised at 1-1 heading into the final five minutes and seemingly heading for penalties, the Belgian quite simply produced a moment of magic.
Hazard picked the ball up in the middle before drifting onto the right-hand side.
He nutmegged Roberto Firmino before skipping past Naby Keita with ease.
He then knocked the ball through Alberto Moreno's legs and before any other Liverpool defenders could get near to him he unleashed a stunning pile-driver past Simon Mignolet.
The 27-year-old admitted himself after the game the solo effort is one of his best for the Blues since joining from Lille in 2012.
HAZARD'S RECORD AGAINST THE TOP SIX
Man City: 4 goals & 5 assists
Liverpool: 5 goals & 2 assists
Tottenham: 5 goals & 3 assists
Man Utd: 5 goals & 5 assists
Arsenal: 5 goals & 3 assists
Hazard told Chelsea TV: "I have scored some goals like that! Not all the time
"It is on the top of the list - my top three.
"I remember around two years ago, the one against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge. That one was nice.
"This one also is one of the best, especially when you score against a big team and win the game. That’s the most important thing."
Chelsea and Liverpool meet again in another huge encounter this Saturday in west London (kick-off 5:30pm).
Both teams remain unbeaten in the Premier League after six games played.
