RYAN Sidebottom swapped the cricket field for a dance studio.
The former England and Yorkshire seamer took part in Dancing on Ice 2019 but just who is he and when did he retire from cricket?
Who is Ryan Sidebottom?
Ryan Jay Sidebottom was born January 15, 1978, in Huddersfield and is best known as a former England international cricketer who has also played for both Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire.
He became the only player of the past 15 years to win five county championships and notched up more than 1,000 career wickets before retiring in September 2017.
His father Arnie was a former footballer and cricketer.
Ryan has two children, Indiana, 8, and Darley, 7, with wife Kate.
On September 12, 2018, Ryan revealed his retirement made him sink into a "deep, dark hole" as he battled anxiety as part of The Sun's You're Not Alone suicide prevention campaign.
When was he on Dancing on Ice?
On October 3, 2018, Ryan announced on talkSport that he would be taking part in Dancing on Ice.
He was partnered with pro skater Brandee Malto.
Ryan managed to last in the competition until February 17, 2019 when he was voted off the show in a double elimination.
Corrie's Jane Danson and her dance partner Sylvain Longchambon were also forced to hang up their skates.
Ryan called Brandee the "best partner he could have asked for" and claimed he will continue to skate as his kids are "dying to go".
