THE two men caught up in a fight with Conor McGregor in the octagon after his defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov have been named and banned from UFC - but the Irishman has decided he will NOT press charges.

McGregor, 30, was targeted by members of opponent Khabib's team in the aftermath of his defeat - although new footage appears to show the Irishman throwing the first punch from on top of the octagon fence.

The moment Khabib Nurmagomedov jumps into the crowd after beating Conor McGregor at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for UFC229

Zubaira Tukhugov and another member of the team jumped the fence first and landed heavy punches to McGregor's head from the side and behind before a third attempted to attack McGregor but was stopped by security.

Tukhugov, 27, has fought four times in the UFC, winning his first three before defeat to Renato Moicano in 2016. He was due to face McGregor's team-mate Artem Lobov later this month.

But UFC president Dana White says the attackers will never fight again.

White said: "The guys who jumped in will never fight here again.

"I've been working hard to promote this sport, this is not what a mixed martial arts event is normally like."

McGregor, 30, tapped out in round four of the UFC229 lightweight championship bout after being locked in a rear naked choke hold.

Khabib immediately jumped out of the cage to launch a vicious attack on McGregor’s jiu-jitsu coach Dillon Danis.

Danis’ comments are yet to be revealed, but White explained what he saw from his perspective.

White added: “I saw one of Conor’s guys shouting at Khabib, he went over the cage and went after him.

“Two of Khabib’s guys went into octagon and one hit Conor with some shots from behind, that was what I saw."

Three of Khabib's pals were arrested after the brawls at the T-Mobile Arena and taken to jail, before later being released.

And White revealed two-time champion McGregor will not seek further action against his attackers.

White said: "He didn’t care about the fight after, he was more concerned about the fight.

Disconsolate Dana White says it's been a bad night for MMA after Khabib Nurmagomedov jumped into the crowd after beating Conor McGregor at UFC229

“He said: ‘I don’t give a s*** about that stuff, okay? We don’t like each other'. He didn’t even press charges.

“He doesn’t like Khabib and the whole deal. But he didn’t press charges against him and his team. He doesn’t care about that, he cares he lost the fight.”

White confirmed the Nevada State Athletic Commission was withholding Nurmagomedov’s fight purse and would be facing serious repercussions from the governing body.

He added: “The Nevada State Athletic Commission pulled footage from us and investigation is going on. Khabib’s purse has been withheld, Conor’s has not.”
