Chelsea fans demand they sign Kalidou Koulibaly following remarkable assist for Napoli
Defender won possession in his own half before he charged up the pitch to create Lorenzo Insigne's opener
CHELSEA fans begged their club to sign Kalidou Koulibaly after his remarkable assist for Napoli on Friday.
The defender, 27, produced a moment magic before Lorenzo Insigne opened the scoring in Friday's 5-1 win over Empoli.
Koulibaly won back possession in his own half before he charged up the pitch with blistering pace.
The Senegal international raced past a number of Empoli stars and delivered the ball into the path of his team-mate.
Insigne took one touch then slotted the ball past Ivan Provedel to break the deadlock.
And Chelsea fans were quick to try and reignite their club's interest in the player after they were linked to him last summer.
After the video did the rounds on Twitter, one said: "Chelsea!!!!!!!! Sign this beast!!!!"
Another added: "Rudiger and Koulibaly at the back. Imagine!"
One other said: "I've been wanting this guy to come to Chelsea for time!"
The assist comes just days after he sent social media users into meltdown with a stunning goal at the training ground.
And the 27-year-old hit the headlines last month when he showed a new bizarre way of defending when he came up against Kylian Mbappe.
The Senegal international was linked with a sensational switch to the Premier League last summer, but Napoli reportedly rejected an £89m offer from the Blues.
