JAMES HASKELL has spoken out - about struggling to get his words out while covering England's game yesterday.
The Northampton Saints flanker, who still hopes to play in next year's World Cup for the Red Rose, was at Twickenham on Saturday to offer his insight and analysis on his country's clash with South Africa.
However, while speaking alongside Will Greenwood the 33-year-old was slurring his words - with fans taking to social media to suggest the rugby star was drunk.
However, Haskell soon rubbished those rumours as he took to social media to clarify the incident.
Seeing the funny side of it, he posted a video on Twitter saying: "There was a technical issue with the audio on Sky.
"I was in no way drunk or p****d in any shape or form.
"It sounded like I may have had about 50 whiskies, but that was not true!".
He ended by thanking fans for their kind words on his punditry.
Haskell, who is engaged to Richard and Judy's daughter Chloe, remarked: "I would like to be back at Twickenham playing of course.
"But it's the second best thing to do working for Sky covering the games, so I really appreciate all your feedback."
