The 31-year-old may look to leave in January after making just four league appearances and one in the Champions League this term.

Arsenal are favourites to land the former Bayern Munich star at 11/4.

The Gunners lead fellow Premier League giants Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City in the market.

Spokesperson Katie Baylis said: “With reports out of Italy that Benatia could be looking to leave Juventus for more of a starring role with another club, we think it could be a move here with Arsenal the 11/4 favourites, followed by United at 6/1 and Liverpool at 10/1 for his next club.”

Benatia is one of five central defenders at the Juventus stadium, as he trails the first-choice pairing of Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini.

Speaking on his situation, Benatia said: "Last year I did well because I had more continuity. Unfortunately, now I do not have it. Part of my job is that I always have to work to make myself ready, but it is not a pleasant situation.

"I am available to the team, as long as I stay here, I will give my best. It's normal that this is not good for me. I'm 31 and I have to try to play as much as possible. Let's see in January what will happen, how much I have been used, if Juventus need me."
