TAFFEN UP LAD

Wales star Gareth Bale slated for wearing gloves against Denmark and Twitter convinced it means one thing

Real Madrid ace found it hard to resist the temperature on a cold, foggy Friday night in Cardiff as his country lost 2-1 to Denmark, but users on social media suggested he has been living in Spain too long

DOUBLE-DIGIT temperature in Cardiff on Friday night felt too cold for Gareth Bale as he was wearing gloves in Wales' 2-1 loss to Denmark in the Uefa Nations League.

Confounded fans quickly took to Twitter during the game and came to a conclusion that Real Madrid ace... has's been living in Spain for too long.

Bale was an injury doubt ahead of the crucial Denmark clash following sustaining an ankle injury in Real Madrid's 4-2 victory over Celta Vigo on Sunday.

The Welshman, 29, however recovered just on time to lead Dragons in a quest to advance to the Uefa Nations League play-offs.

Bale posed a constant threat to the visitors, testing Kasper Schmeichel from distance as well as nagging Danes with his dribbling while charging down the flanks.

He even inspired Wales' short-lived comeback with a late goal that eventually was not enough to overcome the two-goal deficit following Nicolai Jorgensen and Martin Braithwate's strikes.

Bales' gloves, however, caught attention as fans on Twitter snarked about the Welshman's sensitiveness to weather.

Which, perhaps, is not far-fetched as Bale earlier this year .

On user, @Paula312jane said: "Questioning if Gareth bale is even Welsh .......gloves in November we haven't even got our big coats out yet."

Another, @iangor, added: "Think Gareth Bale been living in Spain too long. No need for gloves surely."

While @jimshelley17 noticed Bale in fact was not the only player to wear gloves during the game.

The other two were goalkeepers Kasper Schmeichel and Wayne Hennessey.
