ADONIS STEVENSON suffered a brutal knockout loss tonight against Ukrainan Oleksandr Gvozdyk.
Stevenson was defending his WBC light-heavyweight world title against Gvozdyk in Quebec, Canada.
Gvozdykv hurt the champion with a left-hook, right-hand combination as he sent Stevenson trotting backwards.
The challenger poured on the pressure as Stevenson was trapped in the corner and eventually dropped with a right-hand down the middle.
Stevenson, 41, saw the fight waved off as his five year reign as WBC light-heavyweight world champion came to an end.
Gvozdyk, 31, moved to 16-0 with 13 knockout’s as he handed his rival his first defeat since Darnell Boone in 2010 - an opponent the Canadian later beat in a rematch.

The Canadian won the WBC title when he beat Chad Dawson in 2013.
