Arsenal ace Mesut Ozil breaks silence after missing Tottenham win through ‘back injury’
The German was previously benched by Unai Emery against Bournemouth because of the 'intensity of the game'
MESUT OZIL tweeted he is "proud of the whole team" after missing the North London victory due to back spasm.
The German midfielder has been absent for two Gunners matches in a row as Unai Emery benched his ace against Bournemouth in the previous fixture.
Ozil's unavailability for the North London derby sparked controversy as Emery seemed to evade questions about his star after the match.
The Spanish coach said Ozil had been suffering to back ache, but failed to provide more details on the injury.
Emery admitted he did not even know whether the German had attended the clash.
The 30-year-old midfielder broke his silence on social after the game posting a picture of the result and the Gunners' players celebrating with the corner flag.
However, did not refer to his back problems at all.
He tweeted: "When Sead Kolasinac pulls out the Emirates corner flag then you know something big has happened. Proud of the whole team.
He added: "North London is red!".
Ozil is going through a difficult time at the Emirates, having been benched by Emery for the away game against Bournemouth.
