The Man City defender provocatively asked Neymar about his move to the Premier League on his Youtube channel, where the Brazilian can be quizzed by football's high profile figures.

Mendy blatantly said: "Neymar Jnr, answer me in French. Do you think you'll one day play in the Premier League?".

And the PSG ace answered positively, saying: "We don't know what will happen tomorrow but I believe that every great player, at least one day, has to play in the Premier League.

"If you're playing there, I hope you can keep enjoying the Premier League, because you deserve only the best.

"It's a big competition, one of the greatest in the world."

Gabriel Jesus and former Barcelona team-mate Luis Suarez also appeared on the video - as did Manchester United and England legend David Beckham.

Neymar also gave another hint on where his future may lie: Miami.

Goldenballs asked: ";When you finish playing in Europe, will you come to Miami please?"

To which Neymar responded: "David, it's done!

"I'll come to Miami, your city, your team."

Neymar moved to PSG in 2017 for record-breaking £199million but is reportedly unhappy in Paris.

Despite their Ligue 1 dominance, the French champions have been unable to join other European giants in contention for the Champions League crown - a competition the Brazilian targets the most.

Neymar has been in great form this season - scoring 11 goals in 12 Ligue 1 matches.

But, he was placed outside the Top10 in the Ballon d'Or voting following the Parisians' round-of-16 exit in the Champions League as well as crashing out of the 2018 World Cup with Brazil in the quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, his PSG teammate Kylian Mbappe has risen to the football top and finished fourth in the Ballon d'Or ranking as well as scooped the Kopa Trophy for world's best U21 player.

Neymar has reportedly been open to a Barcelona return 18 months after his Nou Camp exit.
