Inter Milan lead the chase for Arsenal ace Mesut Ozil as transfer deadline day hots up
Attacking midfielder is struggling to nail down a place in Unai Emery's starting XI
INTER MILAN lead the race to sign Mesut Ozil, according to the bookies.
The Gunners ace has been linked with a move away in the January transfer window after slipping down the pecking order at the Emirates.
The attacking midfielder started his first game since Boxing Day against Cardiff but struggled to make a huge impact.
The Serie A side are favourites at 9/2 to make a late move for the out-of-favour star.
While a move to Fenerbahce is a close second in the market at 10/1.
But the huge prices suggest it is unlikely Ozil will make a move.
Although the arrival of Denis Suarez on loan from Barcelona may knock Ozil further down the pecking order.
Paddy Power: Mesut Ozil's next club
Inter Milan: 9/2
Fenerbahce: 10/1
Borussia Dortmund: 22/1
Man United: 22/1
Juventus: 33/1
Bayern Munich: 33/1
Real Madrid: 33/1
Meanwhile the bookies have also linked Ozil with sensational switches to Manchester United, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
Spokesman said: “He could be one of the most speculated transfers of the window so far, and judging off the betting if Mesut Ozil doesn’t go to Inter, he’s staying put.
“Which is bad news for Arsenal fans, who want him out, but great news for the rest of us who get to watch the continued meltdowns.”
