VINCE MCMAHON was reduced to tears after Brock Lesnar lost the WWE Title to the late, great Eddie Guerrero back in 2004.

The WWE owner is renowned for his cut-throat demeanour when it comes to business following his triumph in the Monday Night Wars over WCW in the late 90s.

But the 73-year-old also has a much softer side, and one of his former producers has revealed how the billionaire was left crying following an epic battle at the No Way Out pay-per-view 15 years ago.

Guerrero pulled off a huge shock as he defeat Lesnar for the belt after the duo put on a wrestling clinic for the WWE Universe – and thanks to a helping hand from Goldberg.

Bruce Pritchard, who worked backstage for the company at the time, has now described what it was like behind the curtain after the epic encounter – widely-regarded as one of the best matches in decades.

Speaking on his hit Something to Wrestle With podcast, he said: “I cried. Watching the match again all these years later, I’m watching it like it’s the first time all over again. I’m just being riveted.

“Brock can work with pretty much anybody, but you put him with a smaller guy and he shines. I forgot how good he was then. Yes, a lot of it was Eddie but watching how Brock sold and the logic he used. … Everything they did in the match was believable.

“You couldn’t poke holes in any of it. … Eddie made Brock and made the championship mean something when he won it because he beat somebody.”

Pritchard, who originally managed The Undertaker under the name of Brother Love after the Dead Man debuted in 1990, went on to explain how emotions were running high off-camera after the bout.

And he let slip how McMahon was left with tears streaming down his eyes.

He continued: “It was a standing ovation. There were hugs and tears all around.

“Vince was crying. He was very emotional because it was magical. Everyone believed there was a happy ending.

“Brock came back and it was one of the best matches he ever had in his life, he was so thankful. Every once in a while a good guy wins, and that’s what happened in this night.”

Guerrero, known as “Latino Heat”, would tragically die just 18 months later aged 38 due to heart failure.
