RAY PARLOUR believes Manchester United should fight tooth and nail to land Gareth Bale and offer Alexis Sanchez as bait.
Both players are struggling to find form for the Red Devils and Real Madrid respectively and have been linked with high-profile summer transfers.
Interim United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to offload Sanchez in the summer but is struggling to find a club who will pay his £500,000-a-week wage.
And Bale, 29, is edging closer to the exit door following the return of Zinedine Zidane.
The Welshman found himself on the bench for large periods under the Frenchman's first reign and his recent struggle for form will have done little to convince Zidane that he is worthy of a starting role.
Real's home faithful have even turned on Bale following a string of poor performances and injuries.

And although Arsenal legend Parlour has been left baffled with Sanchez's lack of impact at Old Trafford, he thinks that a swap deal would make perfect sense because they are both earning astronomical wages.
Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: “Sanchez was in such great form at Arsenal. I know a lot of Manchester United fans and I said to them, ‘You got an absolute bargain there – £20million for a player of his calibre – he’s going to make your team much better’.
"He was brilliant at Arsenal. I do like him. He was one of those players who you would pay to watch.
"It just hasn’t happened for him. I’d go to Real Madrid and I’d swap him for Gareth Bale. They’ll be on the same sort of wages.”
It is reported that Bale is earning a whopping £650,000-a-week at Los Blancos.
He will have three years left to run on his deal in Spain at the end of the campaign, during which he will earn a staggering £101.4m.
