Wales overcame Ireland with a heroic 25-7 win to secure the Grand Slam and the Six Nations crown.

But as the teams lined up before the crucial decider, lock-forward Jones was spotted revealing his softer side.

The weather was atrocious in the capital and the stormy conditions reached the pitch as the roof at the Principality Stadium was kept open.

While the conditions made for an exciting rugby match, for young Wales mascot Joey Hobbs, the rain and wind made for a chilly experience on surely one of the most exciting days of his life.

The boy was only wearing his Wales shirt and shorts and was clearly feeling the chill.

This prompted Jones, who has two children of his own, to remove his training jacket and wrap it around Hobbs to try and warm him up.

Shortly after, the 6ft 6in giant was seen sharing a joke with the lad which showed a human side people were thrilled to see.

Gareth Anscombe kicked 20 of Wales' 25 points as they claimed a third grand slam under Warren Gatland's stewardship.
