Conor McGregor slams ‘snake’ TJ Dillashaw for failing drug test as UFC star ramps up training ahead of return
The Irishman clashed with the former bantamweight champion on The Ultimate Fighter in 2015
CONOR McGREGOR has reignited his feud with TJ Dillashaw after the American failed a drug test.
Dillashaw, 33, has voided his bantamweight title because an "adverse finding" was taken from his blood ahead of his last fight.
And McGregor rubbed salt in Dillashaw's wounds on social media, calling Dillashaw a "little snake" before declaring himself the "new Saint Patrick".
According to legend, the patron saint of Ireland drove all snakes out of the country.
McGregor, who also stepped up his training regime ahead of a return to the Octagon, wrote about Dillashaw: "I called that little snake way back.
"I'm the new St Patrick."
FEUD
McGregor and Dillashaw had clashed back in 2015 on UFC reality show The Ultimate Fighter.
The Notorious had been coaching Team Europe and Urijah Faber, Team USA.
Dillashaw had joined Team Faber as an assistant coach, but there had been tension between Dillashaw and the pair's trainer Duane Ludwig.
McGregor accurately predicted that Dillashaw would leave his stable, Team Alpha Male, in the future calling him a "snake in the grass".
Later in the series the pair then clashed after McGregor confronted him, leading to a skirmish.
At the time, McGregor said: "I absolutely despise people who are disloyal, people who bite the hand that feeds them.
"I certainly feel TJ is a little snake in the grass, he's in here for his own benefit, I simply told that to him and the truth can hurt."

"I slapped his brother and his cousin around on top of the cage, this is not over, so there's dispute and there's got to be a rematch."
