SunSport looking for an aspiring female journalist for Vikki Orvice scholarship
We are looking for an aspiring female sports journalist to be the first recipient of the scholarship
DO you read The Sun from the back page to the front? Do you follow every kick reading SunSport on your mobile? Do you love a variety of sports?
Then you might have what it takes to be the next Vikki Orvice.
We are looking for an aspiring female sports journalist to be the first recipient of the scholarship set up in memory of our trailblazing reporter Vikki, who died earlier this year.
The two-year scheme will be your big break working for Britain’s best sports journalism team — where Vikki developed her reputation as a passionate, hard-working and pioneering tabloid sports writer.
As our Vikki Orvice sports scholar you will earn a living wage, get full training — including NCTJ qualifications — and have all course fees paid.
We want applicants from all walks of life with any or no experience.
SunSport are interested in your dreams, ambitions and potential - and why you think you can follow the lead of a remarkable journalist.
The Sun’s Head of Sport Shaun Custis said: “Vikki was one of the stars of SunSport’s reporting team and whoever follows in her footsteps will have very big shoes to fill.”
