EOIN MORGAN will lead England into their home World Cup as favourites to lift the trophy.
The 32-year-old will look to rectify his own performances after his disappointing displays four years ago - but in an unexpected turn of events, the captain sang the national anthem.

Morgan has been a brilliant leader in recent years as captain of the England limited overs teams - yet has often avoided singing God Save the Queen.
There have been theories that Morgan does not normally sing the English national anthem because he was born in Ireland.
The Dublin native has previously not sung, even as England captain at the World Cup in 2015.
But he has previously stated: "I have never sang the national anthem when playing for Ireland or England.
"It does not make me any less proud to be an English cricketer. It is a long story. It is a personal thing."
Morgan's former deputy headmaster Kevin Jennings added: "He's a very shy fellow. I would imagine he'd be quite self-conscious singing in that context.
"I know people could read something into it, but I don't think it's political. He certainly isn't political to my knowledge."
But the captain had one final surprise before the start of the World Cup by belting out the national anthem as the teams lined up prior to their opener against South Africa.

Morgan is in the minority, having played for both Ireland and England on the international stage.
On his ODI debut for Ireland in August 2006, he smashed 99 runs, before going onto become the first Irishman to hit a double century in first class cricket.
Yet, after 23 one-day matches for Ireland, Morgan switched to play for England in 2009.
He has since gone onto become their most-capped player in ODIs, along with beat Ian Bell to take over as leading run scorer in the short form.
Morgan has also captained the side for some time, taking on the role just before the 2015 World Cup.
