Spurs could bring in Ryan Sessegnon as a replacement for Danny Rose

And boss Mauricio Pochettino would trade as he fancies Fulham’s 19-year-old Ryan Sessegnon to be a long-term replacement.

Spurs may have to pay £35million for England whizkid Sessegnon — who made his breakthrough at the Cottage when he was just 16. And they will look for a similar fee for Rose to help cover the cost.

But the Premier League clubs interested in the Doncaster-born defender are finding it hard to do a deal that factors in his salary.

Rose recently confessed to being ready to leave Spurs if the club no longer want him.

Manchester United, City and Everton have all been linked with a move for the left-back in recent times.

Rose spoke candidly after being part of the England side that finished third in the inaugural Nations League.

He said: "If I am [at Spurs next season], great. If not, great. It’s no secret I’ve been linked with a move in the media.

"And it’s the club’s policy to move players on when they reach a certain age."
