UFC star Ben Askren offers to train Tom Cruise for clash with Justin Bieber and predicts Mission Impossible star will ‘kick his ass’
THE “wimpy” Justin Bieber would get his ass kicked by Tom Cruise, according to UFC star Ben Askren.
And the Octagon fighter, 34, has even offered to help the Hollywood mega-star train for the bumper celebrity showdown.
Pop badboy Bieber, 25, recently called out the 56-year-old Mission Impossible actor and demanded they face off in the Octagon, tagging UFC chief Dana White in the message.
That was followed by reports the singing sensation has agreed to the bout and White is attempting to make it happen.
Now former Bellator and ONE Championship welterweight champion Askren, who will compete at UFC 239 on July 6 against Jorge Masvidal, has thrown his weight behind the scrap.
And he firmly believes it would be Cruise who would come out Top Gun in the all-star battle.
Askren said: “I’m going to say Tom Cruise wins. Justin Bieber seems like a wimp. Like, Tom Cruise at least seems like he’s probably been through some s***.
“Someone told me Cruise is a great athlete, I don’t know if that’s true or false.”
Despite many feeling the potential fight would be a farce, Askren knows that it would generate big bucks.
“But you’d watch it, I’d watch it,” Askren said. “Fighting’s funny. There’s a lot of sports where if someone sucks, like in basketball, you don’t want to watch them.
“But there’s something about fighting that if they suck you would still watch.
“That would make a whole bunch of money.”

And Askren is ready to help Cruise any way he can if he wants it.
He added: “All I’d teach him is the double leg takedown and then he’d beat his ass. Little typewriter action on his face.”
Askren currently has bigger fish to fry as he prepares for fight action of his own.
A win next month over Masdival would extend his unbeaten run and push him closer to a welterweight title shot against Kamaru Usman.
