Tyson Fury insists he has SIGNED CONTRACT for massive February 22 rematch with Deontay Wilder

TYSON FURY insists the rematch against Deontay Wilder is a done deal despite the American's team saying otherwise.

The Gypsy King confirmed that the two heavyweight warriors will clash once again on February 22 on one of his speaking tours at the start of the month.

At that time, he said: “The Wilder rematch has been confirmed and signed: February 22, it’s on.

“This time, I haven’t been out of the ring for three years. This time, I haven’t been abusing too much alcohol. And this time, I’m going to knock him the f*** out."

But just last week Team Wilder cast doubt that the deal was quite as far down the line as Fury believed.

Wilder's co-manager Shelly Finkel suggested that Fury's claim is false - with other dates on the table.

Ahead of the eagerly-anticipated rematch, Finkel added there are dates in March available, with nothing concrete yet.

BACK FIGHTING IN OCTOBER

Following Fury's words, he hit back: "March dates are also possible.”

, Fury said: “I’m just chilling out at the minute.

“I’ve got an October date which has not been announced yet officially.

“Then I’ve got the Wilder rematch, and that’s it really, just enjoying life day by day.”

When asked if the February 22 date is confirmed, the Lineal champ replied: “I’ve signed a contract, so it’s confirmed as far as I know.

“If I’ve signed a contract, I’ve signed a contract, and that’s it.

“One hundred per cent [it’s happening], he’s signed a contract and I’ve signed a contract.”

Wilder is set to have another rematch, against veteran Cuban Luis Ortiz next, while Fury says he will be back in action in October, again in the US.
