Mayweather won via a unanimous decision at Las Vegas' MGM Grand in a bout dubbed the “Fight Of The Century".

The superstar duo - both in their 40s - have discussed a rematch in the past but until now no real progress had been made.

'I'M ON MY WAY'

In a video that emerged online, Mayweather Jr said: “I want to say thank you, it’s an honour to come to Saudi Arabia to sit down with you guys to talk about the Mayweather v Pacquiao rematch.

“Saudi Arabia, Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather, I’m on my way."

The original source of the video remains unknown.

Legendary boxer Sugar Ray Leonard recently claimed the rematch needs to happen to "help boxing".

He told : "It'd be a great fight. Put it this way, it should be done. People will watch it.

"It's two guys in their 40s. When I was 40, I came back, I don't know who it was against, but you had a different stage in your life, spiritually, physically, mentally.

"Pacquiao looked phenomenal in his last fight."

Pacquiao rolled back the years in some style last time out as he outpointed previously undefeated Keith Thurman to win the WBA welterweight world title.

Mayweather, meanwhile, retired from boxing AGAIN after beating Conor McGregor to reach 50 wins and zero defeats in a stunning career.

SunSport recently reported Mayweather, who calls himself "The Money", has been crowned the greatest boxer of all time.
