'I CAN'T WAIT'

Deontay Wilder vows to ‘pop vulnerable Tyson Fury’s cut right open’ in February rematch

DEONTAY WILDER says Tyson Fury’s cut was the worst he’s seen since Vitali Klitschko’s against Lennox Lewis.

And the WBC heavyweight champ (41-0-1, 40 KOs) insisted Super Glu, Cement Glue or even staples will stop him from popping the Gypsy King’s eye open again in their February rematch.

Fury, 31, needed 47 stitches to close a cut he suffered in the third round of his unanimous points victory over Otto Wallin on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Despite the severity of the damage, his Top Rank promoter Bob Arum still wants him to go-ahead with his planned second clash against the Bronze Bomber in five months’ time.

And Wilder appears to be licking his lips as he plans to down the “vulnerable” Fury once-and-for-all after their first meeting last December ended in an epic draw.

Speaking to , the American said: “He’s very vulnerable. When he gets hit on the chin, it’s a wrap.

“Otto Wallin was doing a great job up to that point, especially when he cut him over the eye. I was telling, I thought he was going to get a stoppage. It looked like it was three inches wide and two inches deep.

“That’s the worst cut besides the Klitschko and Lennox fight. That was the worst cut I’ve seen in my life.”

Klitschko required 60 stitches after he was stopped by Brit boxing legend Lewis in their WBA-WBC heavyweight title match in 2003.

He bounced back six months later to defeat Kirk Johnson in the second round – but that was a total mismatch.

Fury and his eye are likely to face a lot more punishment from the champ – and Wilder is counting down the seconds until he can have a go and cutting his foe open again.

The 33-year-old added: “I can’t wait. I hope they heal well, and I can’t wait to see Mr Fury.

“That’s not my problem if he’s ready or not. He signed the contract. That’s his problem. He better get ready.

“No matter what he does, when he fights me, it’s [the cut] is going to open right back up.

“I’m going to pop it right back open. He can get plastic surgery, duck tape or staples, Super Glu or Hot Glu, Cement Glu. S***, he can go get some of that Flex Glu. It ain’t even going to matter.”
