TYSON FURY is fishing for back-to-back wins against Wladimir Klitschko after ditching meat for seafood.

Fury, 27, has changed his diet to ensure he is in peak condition for their world heavyweight rematch in Manchester on July 9.

The WBO and WBA Super champion proudly displayed his bloated belly in April at a press conference to officially announce the fight.

Much of the excess weight has already been shed at his training base in Steenbergen, Holland — and becoming pescatarian has played a part.

Fury, who toppled Klitschko on points in Germany last November, said: “For this camp, I have given up meat.

“I didn’t have carbs for five weeks. The last two it’s just been salad, fish and potatoes.

“I’m not a vegetarian, I’m a pescatarian. I think I will stick to it because I don’t feel as bloated after eating fish.

“You don’t want to go and lie down like a lion after it has killed something. I never feel tired after eating fish, I always feel good.

“All the meat today, unless you are rearing your own animals, I believe it is very contaminated.

"It can’t be good for you eating a big piece of bloody meat, like a steak.

“I’ve come to a point where I just don’t like it any more. I don’t like how they have to kill animals — I’m eating some dead flesh on a plate.

“If I am sitting in a restaurant and the man next to me is eating a big juicy steak, I’m like, ‘Ugh, that’s disgusting’.”

Fury celebrated in style after ending a decade of domination by Klitschko — piling on 3½st in the process.

And the undefeated Gypsy King insists he will never feel the need to spend as much time training as the 40-year-old Ukrainian.

He added: “He stays in the gym 365 days a year, I stay in the gym in 12-week periods.

“I can go from an obese fat pig to a ripped Adonis in 12 weeks. It’s unnecessary to keep in shape all year round.”

While Fury is happy to stay away from meat, he will never be a vegetarian.

He said: “I have to force-feed myself vegetables because of my job. I only like sweetcorn, mushy peas and potatoes.

“Meat doesn’t put weight on you, it’s the junk food that does but it always contains meat.

“If you have a pizza you have a meat feast. In a sandwich shop, it is always meat, meat, meat. If you are eating fish, it is easier not putting the weight on.”

Meanwhile, boxing’s governing body AIBA will today decide whether to let professional fighters into the Olympic ring — beginning with the Rio games in August.

For most boxers it is already too late to take part in a qualifying contest for Rio but top fighters could appear on the card at Tokyo 2020.

Klitschko won gold at Atlanta in 1996 and had indicated he would like a new try in Brazil but the rematch with Fury is his priority.

Former Olympic and world heavyweight title-holder Lennox Lewis said it would be “preposterous” to let professionals into the same ring as amateurs.

AIBA will need to convince Olympic authorities about its anti-doping practices before any agreement is reached.
