Egg-cellent mix

Anthony Joshua’s massive morning meal includes seven poached eggs, beans on toast, spinach, beetroot and a protein shake

World heavyweight champ who weighs more than 16 stone prepares for first title defence against Dominic Breazeale

ANTHONY JOSHUA prepares to wolf down seven poached eggs as he shows how much you have to eat to become a world champion.

The Brit boxer, who stands 6ft 6ins and weighs more than 16 stone, also had beans on toast, spinach, beetroot and a protein shake prepared for his giant morning meal.

IBF king Joshua, who faces unbeaten American Dominic Breazeale on June 25 at London's O2, is known for his gladiator-like physique and punishing workouts.

But even this mountain of food seemed a real gut-buster for the Watford-born bruiser.

A standard poached egg contains 13g of protein which means, combined with the beans, bread, spinach and shake, there is well over 100g of lean muscle-building material in this meal alone.

It is a stark contrast to the greasy full English former two-weight world champ Ricky Hatton recently tucked into while on holiday in Benidorm.

The 37-year-old, who hung up his gloves in 2012, feasted on a pile of chips, mushrooms, sausages, bacon and diet coke that came in at around 2,500 calories - the recommended daily amount for a male.

Joshua's video, posted to his Twitter account, left most of his 642,000 in awe at the amount he is able to eat.

But some picked up on the probable, if unintended, side-effects.

One user wrote: "Oh god, your flatulence is going to be as deadly as your right hand."
