Dillian Whyte reveals talks with Anthony Joshua over a rematch have already began

The British heavyweight says his greatest pleasure would be for AJ to become undisputed world champion and then taking his four belts

DILLIAN WHYTE has revealed unofficial talks for a rematch with Anthony Joshua have already started.

The British heavyweight is gearing up for his fight against Aussie tough guy Lucas Browne on March 24 at London’s O2 for the WBC ‘silver’ title.

Whyte, 29, was knocked out in the seventh round by Joshua when they fought at the O2 in December 2015 before AJ went on to win the world title.

He bumped into Joshua by chance at a boxing show and the Londoner revealed the IBF and WBA champion asked him when he wanted a rematch.

Whyte, who beat AJ as an amateur, said: “I bumped into him at the O2 the other day. He was talking about the rematch and I said, ‘Listen, you win your fight, I win my fight and then we can talk seriously’.

“He was the one who mentioned it and I said, ‘I’m game, I’m always ready to rock. Let me focus on this fight with Browne first. I’ll get that out of the way and then if you’re serious we’ll sit down and have a talk and then we’ll see’.”

Joshua defends his titles against WBO champion Joseph Parker on March 31 in Cardiff — and even if AJ loses and Whyte is beaten, there will be no trouble fixing up a third clash between the two rivals.

Whyte added: “If Joshua lost the world titles tomorrow and the next ten fights after that, I’d still fight him.

“I just enjoy fighting that guy and he enjoys fighting me. We wouldn’t need one rubber match, we’d need ten rubber matches.

“I’ll fight him five or six times if I have to. It’s just a good fight.

“What would give me the greatest pleasure is AJ becoming undisputed champ with four belts — and me taking them off him!”
