Tyson Fury brands Anthony Joshua a ‘dosser’ as he announces return to ring on June 9 in Manchester against unnamed opponent
Brit heavyweight's long-awaited return has been announced after serving a doping ban and getting back into shape and will scrap in the 21,000 Manchester Arena
TYSON FURY branded Anthony Joshua a "dosser" and his "belt carrier" as he announced his long-awaited return to the ring.
The Gypsy King has been out since November 2015 but will be back in action on June 9 in Manchester against a soon-to-be confirmed opponent.
Fury appears to be winning his battles with injury, mental illness and weight trouble – with a fight against unified WBA, IBF and WBA boss AJ his long-term target.
The undefeated 29-year-old confirmed: "I have finally returned.
"I am over the moon, it has been a long and complex situation that I am glad I have overcome now.
"I am a couple of years older, when I return it will be one of the longest comebacks in history for a world champion.
"There are people out there claiming to be the world's best and I know they are not. I don't believe these guys will be a match for me. We have sluggers and wild punchers
"I am a lot, lot lighter than I have been, I am ready to fight, I could go this weekend. I am as fit as I have ever been. My timing and reflexes are better than I have ever been.
"I am coming into the prime of my life and I am more confident looking at the competition is easy.
"Joshua is a big old dosser, a belt carrier for me and it will be an easy fight, no contest. I have a top for him: 'Get a handful of rice and throw it' that's the only way he'll land on me.
"He's a lot smaller than me and I don't think he holds a shot well."
Fury added: "Klitschko was my Everest and I felt I had nothing left to do, he was a great champ but he was not on my level that night.
“Joshua and Wilder were hot air at that time but I had nothing more to do, no I have challenges it is a breath of fresh air.
“I might win the belts, retire again, balloon up and come back and win them all again.
“My ambition is to return and dance under the lights, from being so far away, I just want to get back under the lights and dance.
“My short-term goal is to get in the ring and move around and to have a good time doing it.
Promoter Frank Warren insisted he will not rushed into the AJ showdown and will only get his shot when he is in peak condition in head and body.
Warren, , said: "It has been a long journey, he has been through trials and tribulations.
"He is in magnificent condition but he still has a while to go. He will need to get the ring rust out with a couple of fights, although people might think he can go straight back in for a world title.
"He will challenge for titles when he 100 percent mentally and physically ready.
"He is three or four fights away so he will be busy, he is fit but needs to be fighting fit. There is no time schedule, it will happen. It will be on Tyson's agenda."
