Billy Joe Saunders sparks chaos after launching half a chicken at Tyson Fury’s rival Deontay Wilder in a Belfast Nando’s
Fury's best mate headed to the chicken restaurant in Belfast just as the heavyweight champ and his entourage were enjoying a late night dinner
BILLY JOE SAUNDERS caused chaos at a Nando's in Belfast last night - launching half a chicken at Deontay Wilder, according to eye-witnesses.
The pair were in the Northern Ireland capital ahead of Tyson Fury's anticipated showdown as he looks to set up a clash with the American heavyweight.
Earlier in the day, Fury and Wilder almost came to blows during the Gypsy King's weigh-in ahead of his bout against Francesco Pianeta.
It is understood Saunders wasn't at the weigh-in, but still managed to get involved while the WBC heavyweight champion and his entourage were tucking into some late-night chicken.
A video appeared online allegedly showing the world middleweight king - who earlier uploaded a picture of him in a similar shirt to the one seen - dashing for the exit door after executing his cheeky plan.
Wilder and his crew dashed after his rival and one of the 32-year-old's entourages hilariously slips over as tables were sent flying.
The carnage continued onto the street as onlookers rushed to watch the bizarre action unfold.
Wilder and Fury have an ongoing rivalry that is set to come to a head if the pair agree a date to scrap later this year.
The 'Bronze Bomber' is scheduled to be ringside for Fury's fight at Windsor Park on Saturday night to get a closer look at his future opponent.
Wilder said today: "As soon as he gets this guy out of the way, it's done.
"That's how simple it is."
Wilder is set to announce the Fury fight on Monday in London with reports suggesting they could meet in Las Vegas as soon as November.
