Matchroom make improved offer to Deontay Wilder to fight Anthony Joshua in April
Barry Hearn reveals they have submitted new terms to WBC champ Wilder for a fight with AJ after his clash with Tyson Fury in December
MATCHROOM say they have made a new improved offer to Deontay Wilder to finally seal a mega-fight with Anthony Joshua next year.
WBC world heavyweight champion Wilder is scheduled to make a defence of his title against Tyson Fury in December.
But that has not stopped Joshua's promoters coming up with a lucrative new package aimed at sealing a unification clash between the two heavyweight champs in April.
Matchroom head Barry Hearn revealed all in a surprise tweet and called on Wilder to finally come through and take on Joshua at Wembley Stadium.
Hearne wrote: "So now a new improved offer has been made to Wilders camp let’s see if they will finally agree to a meeting to discuss or not.
"Fans will find out if both sides really want this fight and I know AJ does.
"No obstacles from our end so just waiting for a response."
The terms they have offered are dependent on Wilder beating Fury when they clash in Las Vegas on December 1.
Hearn added: "It’s obviously dependant in wilder winning that fight. Doesn’t stop agreeing terms now so we have everything in place."
Wembley is booked on April for Joshua to defend his four world title belts, and he admitted after beating Alexander Povetkin that Wilder was the man in his sights.
