Canelo Alvarez shows off incredible bulking physique at 168lbs ahead of Rocky Fielding fight
SAUL CANELO ALVAREZ is looking ripped at his new weight of 168lbs – ahead of his bout with Rocky Fielding.
The 28-year-old will have to step up a weight division to super-middleweight for the first time.
It means Canelo has had to put on eight pounds and the man they call ‘Cinnamon’ is looking to add some festive spice to the division.
For Liverpool’s Fielding, 31, it is a shot at the big time – but the task will be massive against the Mexican star, widely considered the best pound for pound fighter in the world.
Canelo’s career high weight was against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr when he weighed in at 164lbs for their catchweight bout last year, where he picked up the win on points.
He beat the previously undefeated Gennady Golovkin in September thanks to a victory on points.
