SUGAR RAY LEONARD has put his luxury LA estate, complete with tennis court, putting green and ocean views, up for sale.
The boxing legend, 63, has stuck the mansion he built himself 22 years ago on the market for the knockout price of £43million.
The property spans 1,551 square-metres and comes kitted out with an enormous swimming pool amongst other features.
Regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all-time, the former five-weight champion spared no expense creating a little piece of paradise.
Securely nestled behind double gates, the mansion – draped in ivy – features stone floors imported from Israel and jaw-dropping fireplaces from Europe.
As well as the swimming pool, tennis court and putting green, the Los Angeles estate also features a gym, solarium and media room.
PEACEFUL OASIS
The seven-bedroom home includes a master suite, complete with a private terrace overlooking both the ocean and a canyon.
Outside, the spacious pool is flanked by a spa, gorgeous landscaped gardens, it’s own motor court and even a two-storey guesthouse.
On putting the home up for sale, Leonard‘s wife, Bernadette, said: “This home has been a peaceful oasis.
“We’ve been blessed to have a space allowing us to host both intimate family gatherings and sizeable fundraisers.
“My hope is that the future owner will cherish this home as much as our family has.”
In his illustrious career, Leonard won titles at welterweight, light-middleweight, middleweight, super-middleweight and light-heavyweight.
“Sugar” is regarded as one of the greatest pound-for-pound fighters ever, with a career record of 36 wins from 40 fights, losing just three times in the ring.
American star Leonard was the first boxer to break through the $100m prize-purse barrier as he was also named Boxer of the Decade for the 1980s, helping keen the sport in the forefront in the post-Muhammad Ali era.
