The punch that gave Tyson Fury his horror two-inch cut and nearly cost him shock defeat to Otto Wallin
THIS is the moment Tyson Fury received the left-hook that almost cost him a shock defeat to Swede Otto Wallin.
The Gypsy King suffered a nasty two-inch gash above his right eye in the third round that left blood streaming down his face.
Fury, 31, would eventually get the job done on points but much of the praise went to his cutman on the night Jorge Capetillo.
He was forced to go straight to hospital after the scrap and 47 stitches later, was back on the Vegas strip drinking beer and winning at the casino.
With Fury backed up against the corner, Wallin spotted an opportunity to swing a left fist into the face on Fury.
It caught him square above the eye and Fury was obviously rocked as he buried his head into the shoulder of Wallin.
Noticing a huge smear of blood on Wallin's shoulder, Fury instinctively felt the cut on his eye before appearing to wince in pain.
Fury would later show off the damage caused by the punch which Wallin continued to target throughout the bout.
The cut has raised more questions than one including whether his showdown with fierce rival Deontay Wilder will go ahead of February 22.
Promoter Frank Warren hinted that his eye may not have healed in time to face to the big-hitting American and the date may be put back.
He said: "If it doesn't heal well the fight may have to be pushed back.
“Hopefully that will not be the case. It depends how it heals, if it's OK it won't be a problem.
"It's not just the fight, it's the training and sparring. He has to be 100 per cent right."
Fury's father even suggested the cut could end his career.

The former pro said: "How does a man like limited Otto Wallin get that close to a 6ft 9in man with a brilliant jab?
"It all went out the window, he got cut and threw caution to the wind. His chin was in the air, his feet were flat, there was nothing good about it at all.
"An injury like that could finish his career, he might need surgery on that. I am worried about that cut."
