Man Utd transfer boost as Erling Braut Haaland reveals love for English football and says Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ‘has taught me a lot’

SALZBURG sensation Erling Braut Haaland has hinted he would love to join his ex-Molde boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United.

Norway striker Haaland, 19, who bagged a hat-trick on his Champions League debut against Genk last week, "especially likes" English football and hailed Solskjaer's "huge impact" on his career.

Leeds-born Haaland - son of former defender Elland Road Alf-Inge - was reportedly watched by 50 scouts when his treble lit up Salzburg's 6-2 rout of Belgian League leaders Genk.

And he saluted Solskjaer's role in his swift rise at Norway side Molde.

Haaland told : "He has had a huge impact on my life, both as a person and as a trainer.

"He won the Champions League and was an incredibly good player. He has taught me a lot."

And despite only joining Austrian giants Salzburg last month on a five-year contract, Haaland added: "I have dreamed of playing for the best clubs in the world my whole life, and I especially like English football."

But Haaland is a client of Mino Raiola and any United pursuit of players linked to the super-agent could be threatened by the Dutchman's wrangling with Old Trafford chiefs.

Raiola has been trying to get Real Madrid target Paul Pogba out of United.

And in a new twist to the saga, Raiola is reportedly demanding United pay the French World Cup winner £600,000 a week to stay.

United, though, are thought to be holding firm as Solskjaer still believes he can rebuild United around the midfielder, 26.
