THIBAUT COURTOIS was only hauled off at half-time during Real Madrid's 2-2 Champions League draw with Club Brugge on Tuesday because he was ill - but Chelsea fans are still showing him no sympathy.
Second-half goals from Sergio Ramos and Casemiro saved Los Blancos' blushes after Emmanuel Bonaventure's first-half brace had threatened to condemn Real to their second Champions League defeat in two games.
The Belgian stopper let in two goals before half-time and was replaced by Alphonse Areola during the break but Belgian journalist claims stomach problems were the reason.
Courtois' team reportedly said the 27-year-old suffered from "fever and dizziness during the first-half" and that he was "sick (stomach problems) before the game".
Despite the reported health issues, Chelsea fans online still took the opportunity to tear into their former keeper.
Many are still angry about the way Courtois left Stamford Bridge and have dubbed him "The Snakey One".
In a reference to Courtois' claims that he left Chelsea to be nearer his kids in Spain, DeanCareFreeCFC posted: "Unbelievable stats snake lad. How are the kids by the way? Got to see them early tonight."
