Arsenal in talks with £200k-a-week striker Aubameyang over new contract to move him closer to top-earner Mesut Ozil

ARSENAL are reportedly desperate to tie down star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to a new deal.
And it is likely new terms will see the Gabon international match the £350,000-a-week out-of-favour midfielder Mesut Ozil takes home.
Aubameyang has been a huge hit at the Emirates since joining from Borussia Dortmund in January 2018.
He finished last season as the Premier League's top scorer along with Liverpool duo Sadio Mane and Mo Salah.
He has already scored seven goals so far this season.
reports that he is currently raking in £200,000-a-week with Arsenal believing that offloading Ozil is "key to help free up significant funds for the club's contract renewal drive".

The German's future looks even murkier now, and he was dropped from the match-day squad for the 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
But things are much rosier for Aubameyang.
SunSport revealed that the 30-year-old is officially the deadliest striker in the Premier League when it comes to converting chances.
And the Arsenal star’s stats are even better than the likes of Harry Kane and Mo Salah with Jamie Vardy and Sadio Mane the only men currently playing in the top-flight near to him.
Aubameyang also has a number of other impressive stats to back up his claim to being the deadliest marksman around.

He has either scored or assisted in every Prem game this season – and he has never gone more than three matches without a goal for the club.
Aubameyang has bagged 48 times in 72 games in all competitions at Arsenal, registering 12 assists in that period.
His latest was the equaliser against United on Monday night.
