Chelsea fans delighted as Michy Batshuayi scores – and shows off his Spongebob Squarepants boxers
MICHY BATSHUAYI left fans in hysterics when he accidentally flashed his SpongeBob Squarepants boxers on the pitch.
The 26-year-old opened the scoring as Belgium beat Kazakhstan 2-0 in the Euro 2020 qualifiers.
Batshuayi made it four goals in five games for his country when he found the net after an assist from Dennis Praet.
But it wasn't his goal that sent his supporters wild on social after the match.
He posted a photograph of himself laying on the pitch in the 69th minute - unaware that his hilarious briefs were on show.
Alongside the image, he wrote: "Goal [tick]. Victory [tick]. Spongebob pants [tick]. Normal day at the office."
One fan replied: "SPONGEBOB FACT: Other players need to take note of Michy! Wear your SpongeBob underwear and your chances of scoring a goal up to 500 per cent."
Another said: "Michy and Spongebob pants... name a better duo... I'll wait."
