PHILIPPE COUTINHO could be set for a sensational return to the Premier League next season amid report he will never wear a Barcelona shirt again.

If Bayern Munich do not stump up the £105million required to make his loan signing from Barcelona permanent, Coutinho will be sold to the highest bidder with a Premier League club most likely to secure his services.
Coutinho, 27, ended his Nou Camp nightmare when he was shipped out to Bundesliga champions Bayern this summer on a season-long loan costing £7.6million.
It was previously rumoured that the Brazilian may have been heading to North London with Tottenham and Arsenal potentially interested in the Barcelona outcast.
Chelsea have also been linked but were under a transfer ban during the summer.
Coutinho has notched two goals and three assists in eight games in Germany but has so far failed to convince the Catalan club he is worthy of a return to Spain.
The Barcelona hierarchy do not feel Coutinho is a good match for the club and are hopeful a return to form will enable a successful sale in the transfer market.

The Catalan giants splashed £142m on signing him from Liverpool in January 2018 but Coutinho endured a torrid spell in Spain, managing only five goals in 34 La Liga appearances last season.
Barcelona preferred the pace of Ousmane Dembele up front to replace the departed Neymar and with the signing of Antoine Griezmann further strengthening the squad this summer it appears Coutinho will be surplus to requirements.
Despite disappointing on the pitch, Coutinho is said to have an excellent relationship with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez but Barcelona are ready to overlook this as they seek to move him on.
