JANUARY BALES

Real Madrid fed up with ‘arrogant golfer’ Gareth Bale over latest Wales row and ‘willing to offload him in January’

REAL MADRID are desperate to flog "arrogant" Gareth Bale in January after the latest club-versus-country row, according to reports.

His relationship with boss Zinedine Zidane has always been fractious but AS claim that it has now hit rock-bottom.

That's because the 30-year-old is desperate to play for Wales for their upcoming fixtures despite not featuring for Real Madrid in almost a month.

Bale was back on the sidelines last month after tearing his calf in a qualifier against Croatia on October 13.

It has kept him out of crucial Real Madrid matches including two Champions League ties and a trip to neighbours Atletico.

But it hasn't prevented him being called up for Wales' crunch Euro 2020 qualifiers next week - angering Zidane.

Real are also furious that he has made no effort to learn Spanish despite being at the club since 2013.

The La Liga giants have reached the end of their tether with the Welshman who appears more interested in playing golf than football.

I follow the golf, that's about it.

Bale when quizzed on Brexit

Bale is so golf-obsessed, that even his team-mates nickname him 'Golfer.'

He is also so focussed on birdies instead of the "nonsense" going on in the world that he recently revealed he doesn't even know who the prime minister is.

Quizzed on Brexit, he said: "I look in terms of stuff financially, if Brexit affects me in a certain way for money or investments, but I don't read the rest of the nonsense.

"I genuinely don't know 99 per cent of Brexit.

"I don't even know the prime minister is any more."

Upon being told it is Boris Johnson, Bale replied: "Well, there we go. I didn't know that.

"I thought he was the mayor? I can't have a say in it so I'm not interested. I follow the golf, that's about it.
