De Bruyne proves he’s perfect man for the Arsenal manager job as he explains how Ljungberg got tactics wrong vs Man City
KEVIN DE BRUYNE has perfectly explained how Manchester City were able to tear apart Arsenal defensively in their 3-0 win at the Emirates.
De Bruyne bagged two and assisted for Raheem Sterling in their thrashing of Freddie Ljungberg's sorry side.
And afterwards, the midfielder made clear that the Gunners' shambolic defensive problems are down to their attackers.
Asked why Arsenal struggled to contain a rampant City, the Belgian explained: "The attackers try to press up but when we pass their front four they don't help the Arsenal defence.
"They always stay with four up front, except [Gabriel] Martinelli who comes a little bit more so we always get spaces all over the pitch.

"I think it's really difficult for the six defenders to control it because obviously you can come from everywhere on the pitch."
That meant De Bruyne was singling out Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Nicolas Pepe and Mesut Ozil for criticism.
It was an afternoon to forget for Ljungberg - who ended up demanding Arsenal chiefs decide who they want as their next permanent boss.
He said: "I've said to them [the board] they need to make a decision.
"We are here to help and the staff are trying to chip in but a decision has to be made so we can have the same resources as other clubs.
"When I say that they say I have to wait and see."
Other fans raged at the "joke" stand-in boss for laughing with Guardiola at full time.
Ozil also threw a huge tantrum when he was subbed off in the 58th minute.
The club's star midfielder was branded "pathetic" and a "snail" by Piers Morgan.
Ozil, 31, was filmed walking off slowly and booting his gloves before being consoled by Per Mertesacker as he was replaced by Emile Smith Rowe.
And an equally seething Morgan tweeted: "Ozil subbed after 58 mins and responds by crawling off like a snail and throwing his gloves away like a petulant kid. Pathetic."
And he added afterwards: "Ozil's best kick of the game - to his glove."
Others poked fun at £350,000-a-week Ozil - whose views on minority Muslim persecution in China led to the country refusing to show the game on TV.
