Ibrahimovic angered fans of his boyhood club, Malmo, last month when he bought a stake in one of its title rivals, Hammarby.

The Swedish legend made it even worse when he outlined his desire to make the Stockholm-based team the best in Scandinavia.

Hours after that was announced, a statue of Ibrahimovic that is located outside Malmo's stadium was attacked.

Vandals tried to set it on fire and wrote racist graffiti next to it.

There was an attempt to saw off the statues legs.

Now, its nose has been cut off and the bronze statue has been sprayed silver.

Fans were quick to compare the vandalised face to Harry Potter villain Voldemort - whose nose is completely flat.

Last month the statue was set on fire and spray painted by angry supporters, who also wrote "Judas" on his front door and left him a "RIP" message on top of a Malmo badge.

Fermented fish was also left outside his house along with the comment "You smell bad!"

Ibrahimovic used to be a popular figure at Swedish side Malmo after making his name at the club before going on to become one of the world's best players.

His relationship with fans has been damaged as a result of his investment in Malmo's rivals, Hammarby.

The 8ft 9in sculpture designed by Swedish artist Pete Linde was only erected in October, but has been vandalised twice by Malmo ultras.

The fury comes after Zlatan purchased a 50 per-cent share in Hammerby and promised to make sure the Stockholm based side dominates Scandinavia in the future.

He stated: "I will contribute my experience after everything I've gone through. With my unlimited network. Whatever is needed, really.

"I want Hammarby to have the best youth academy in Sweden. Hammarby should get the best talents and nurture the best talents.

"I have resources that can help and a network that opens up what is needed to be able to have the best academy."

Zlatan has recently been linked with a move back to the premier league after leaving LA Galaxy at the end of the MLS season.

There have been rumours of a reunion with former AC Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti at Everton, with the Toffees ready to make him their highest-paid player ever.

Controversial agent Mino Raiola represents Ibrahimovic, as well as current Everton player Moise Kean.

write that Everton are prepared to pay him £3.4million per season - surpassing their current highest paid player Bernard, who earns £3.1million per year.

Ibra, 38, has enjoyed success before in the premier league, scoring 17 times in 33 games for Manchester United between 2016 and 2018.

AC Milan and Napoli have also been linked with the legendary Swedish striker.
