Keisuke Honda lasts just six weeks at Vitesse Arnhem after begging clubs including Man Utd to sign him

The Japanese star, 33, pleaded with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to bring him to Old Trafford via Twitter in September.

Honda played four times for the Eredivisie side, failing to score and picking up two bookings in the process.

He leaves with the club sixth in the Dutch top-flight, 14 points adrift of league-leaders Ajax.

However, Honda isn't unemployed - as he is still manager of the Cambodia national team, a position he's held since August 2018.

The attacking midfielder took the job while playing for Melbourne Victory in Australia - where he revealed he was holding weekly Skype meetings with players.

Argentine Felix Dalmas serves as head coach of the team, with Honda officially described as being the nation's "general manager".
