Neymar ‘preparing legal battle’ to quit PSG and force Barcelona transfer return by exploiting Fifa clause

NEYMAR is "preparing a legal battle" to quit Paris Saint-Germain — in a bid to force his dream move back to Barcelona.

According to reports in Spain, the £198million man has had his legal team look into a move back to the Nou Camp.

Such a move would put him on the warpath with the Parc des Princes top brass, who feel they have done everything they can to keep him happy.

The world record Brazilian has been enjoying his mid-season holiday in his home country, where he has been at a resort on the Atlantic coast.

He was part of a big New Year's Eve party with friends, after going on a boat party earlier in the week.

According to , he is looking into a legal loophole that would allow him to break his contract with PSG because at the end of this season, a so-called 'protected period' on his deal expires.

They claim there is a 'fair cause' argument to terminate the contract, if he plays less than 10 per cent of competitive minutes for PSG.

Or he can essentially buy himself out of his contract — which cannot be done through a third party.

Fifa would set the level of compensation PSG would be owed and any deal of this sort would have echoes of Antoine Griezmann's buy-out of his contract at Atletico Madrid.

However, according to , Neymar is considering staying in the French capital, after enjoying some time off during the winter break.

He has bagged five goals in his last five games for PSG and bosses have been delighted that he looks back to his best after two years of injury woes.
