Rangers star Alfredo Morelos targeted by Bologna despite Steven Gerrard’s hands-off warning to Premier League clubs
BOLOGNA will make a move for Rangers star Alfredo Morelos despite Steve Gerrard's hands-off warning, according to reports.
The fiery red-hot striker is attracting interest across Europe including from the Premier League.
Morelos, 23, has scored an impressive 12 goals in 11 league starts as Rangers look to stop Celtic from winning title number nine-in-a-row.
His discipline has been called into question with two red cards in his last three matches including in the Old Firm derby.
But it hasn't deterred potential suitors from testing Rangers' resolve including Italian side Bologna, report the Scotsman.
They are currently in negotiations to sign Atalanta forward Musa Barrow.
But should they fail, it is claimed Morelos is high on their list of targets.
Rangers were forced to reject an £11million bid for Morelos from an unnamed club with speculation it could have come from the Premier League.
Gerrard has previously ruled out a January transfer move for Morelos.
He is adamant he won't let his talisman leave in the window even for £40m.
Asked if he would accept an offer of that amount, Gerrard said: “No. And you can add another £10m on as well.”
