CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN looks set to leave Tottenham after agreeing a four-and-a-half year deal with Inter Milan, according to reports in Italy.

The midfielder's current deal runs out at the end of the season so Jose Mourinho will be keen to cash in on the 27-year-old, who has been at the club since 2013.

have reported the Dane has agreed a deal until 2024 worth £6.5million per year.

According to the reports in Italy, Eriksen had to lower his wage demands from £8.5million to agree with the Serie A side.

Spurs are still hoping they can get £17million for the former Ajax midfielder this month rather than letting him leave on a free in the summer.

Eriksen was booed by some Spurs supporters after he was subbed off during the 1-0 defeat to Liverpool yesterday but there was still support from some fans as he appeared to wave goodbye to the crowd after the game.

With Eriksen set to leave, Tottenham have been linked with a move for Benfica midfielder Gedson Fernandes on an initial 18 month loan.

Giovani Lo Celso impressed when he came on as a sub yesterday which could give Mourinho and option should he not land any targets this month.

Yesterday's defeat leaves Spurs eighth, nine points off the top four, so the January transfer could be a big month for the Tottenham boss.
