FORMER Tottenham forward Fernando Llorente could be heading back to North London, say reports.
He left Spurs as a free agent in the summer 'could sensationally return to Tottenham'.
The 34-year-old joined Napoli from Tottenham just six month ago,
He would return as cover for Harry Kane, who is out of action with a ruptured tendon on his left hamstring.
The England captain had surgery on Saturday to repair the injury which he picked up during the defeat by Southampton on New Year's Day.
The club had expected Kane to return to training in April, but today Jose Mourinho suggested he might not be back so soon.
Mourinho has also admitted he may not be ready to play in Euro 2020 and may have to remain sidelined until next season.
It also greatly hinders Spurs as they look to secure a place in next season's Champions League.
They are nine points off fourth-placed Chelsea, in eighth.
Mourinho will now be desperate to strengthen his squad and admitted on Monday that he is short on numbers.
Llorente has scored four times in 21 matches in all competitions for Napoli since joining them.
