Solskjaer tells Greenwood to forget Euros – but Man Utd kid has best Prem goal ratio of England hopefuls to replace Kane
OLE SOLSKJAER has told Mason Greenwood to forget about Euro 2020 and concentrate on Manchester United.
That is despite him having the best goals-per-minutes Premier League scoring ratio of all his England rivals.
The 18-year-old has hit the headlines this season with nine goals and a string of top class performances.
His four Premier League strikes have come at just 104 minutes per goal
With Harry Kane possibly out of the summer Championship with a hamstring injury Gareth Southgate will be looking for an extra striker to make up the numbers.

That has brought Greenwood on to the radar, having played for the Under-21s.
But Solskjaer said: “I think Mason will have a top and long career.
“Let the boy settle in now first before we talk about England and Euros.
“His focus has to be on playing more for us, improving and when he plays more for us that'll happen by itself.
“He's just been picked for the U21s so he's focusing on his football.”
Greenwood is part of a three-pronged United attack that is starting to put fear into Premier League defences.
Marcus Rashford is enjoying his best season so far with 19 goals and Anthony Martial is back on song after being out injured taking his tally to 11 with another strike against Norwich.
Indeed all three scored in that 4-0 win with Rashford getting a pair on what was his 200th appearance for the club.
Solskjaer said: “I don't want credit, they're working hard to improve their game, they’ve all done well.
“Mason's in his first season, so to have nine goals is fantastic. Marcus is growing and improving all the time and Anthony has missed eight weeks.
“I'm impressed by them, working well, on finishing patterns, we want consistency and we'll see more and more of them.”
Wednesday night’s FA Cup replay against Wolves will be United’s 14th games in 46 days.
But Solskjaer drew on his experience of the incredible Treble season of 1998-99 games to point out how games can energise you, as long as you’re winning.

He said: “Results give you energy.
“One good result and performance like Norwich, and they feel good about themselves.
“Bad results have to be used as a motivation, as in ‘we're not there yet we need to keep improving’."
