Man Utd stars Rashford, Martial and Greenwood outscoring Liverpool’s lethal trio of Salah, Mane and Firmino this season

LIVERPOOL have earned the title of one football's most deadly attacks - but they are being outscored by Manchester United.

The frontline of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino have notched a combined 38 goals this season, in all competitions.

With barely a moment's rest and only two points dropped in the Premier League since March, few can even tie the trio's shoelaces.

And yet, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood are making a decent case.

The United three have netted 39 times with England ace Rashford the pick of the bunch.

His tally of 19 goals, 14 of which coming in the Prem, ousts Ballon d'Or contender Mane and his 15 strikes.

The stat indicates the growing attacking force found at Old Trafford with youngster Greenwood also stepping up to the plate by hitting nine goals.

Meanwhile Martial is benefiting from a central role to reach 11 for the campaign so far.

Only just ahead is Salah and his 14 goals while Firmino, a striker known for his play around the box rather than inside it, has nine.

But Jurgen Klopp has created a more all-round unit with his strikers engaged in pressing opponents off the ball and linking up to create chances.

Indeed, much of the United success has come in the League Cup and Europa League with Liverpool edging into a 28-26 lead between the trios in purely Prem action.

In addition, they stroll to the tune of 26 to eight in assists, owing to their famed link-up play.

The sides do battle at Anfield on Sunday with Liverpool miles clear atop the Premier League table but with only one win in five home league meetings with the Red Devils.
