ASHLEY YOUNG walked out of Manchester United training to force through his £1.5million move to Inter Milan.

The club captain looked set to move to Italy last night after both sides agreed a fee which could rise to £1.8m, subject to today’s medical.

But SunSport can reveal the astonishing scenes at United’s training ground last Friday as Young, 34, pushed for his Old Trafford exit.

Just 24 hours after a meeting with boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over his future, Young marched off the training pitch and went into the gym to work on his own.

As a result, Young was axed from last Saturday’s squad for the 4-0 win over Norwich and then also left out of Wednesday’s FA Cup victory over Wolves.

Solskjaer claimed last Friday that Young was not fit enough for the visit of the Canaries — but later that day he walked off the club’s Carrington training pitches.

Former England star Young turned down a new one-year deal at United and it has been no secret he wants to leave.

Young is in his ninth season at United but has fallen down the pecking order of full-backs behind Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw — when fit — and now emerging talent Brandon Williams, 19.

The move to Italy appeals to Young because he did not want to see his career come to an end as a fringe player.

He has also seen how the likes of former team-mates Chris Smalling and Romelu Lukaku have thrived in Italy, at Roma and Inter respectively, since leaving Old Trafford.
