MLS outfit DC United are reportedly lining up a move for Mesut Ozil.
But the German won’t be heading to America for another year.
The claims Ozil is in DC United’s after they lost Wayne Rooney to Derby County.
Ozil is back in the Arsenal side under new boss Mikel Arteta after struggling for form during Unai Emery’s tenure.
And the ace looks like he’s finally enjoying playing football again.
However, DC apparently reckon they can tempt Ozil to the MLS in January 2021.
They have one free spot open for a designated player and believe Ozil is the ideal man to fill it.

And DC feel they stand more of a change landing Ozil when he enters the final six months of his Gunners contract next year.
But in the meantime, Ozil looks set to stay in North London and help Arteta revive one of English football’s fallen giants.
He recently said: “I’m very pleased with my contract and I will continue here this season and next.
“I can’t tell you what the future will bring. I’m excited about the future but I don’t know what’s going to happen.
